Alta Valtellina hosts the very famous Giro d'Italia climbs to Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo Pass and hundreds of off road routes between 1,000-3,000m asl. It is easy to cross the swiss border and enter Engadine to cross Piz Bernina and St. Moritz.
